Creative Hands is owned and operated in Maryland by Tracie Dowell. Tracie is a child of a deaf adult (coda) and has a unique perspective into the benefits of sign language. As the founder of Creative Hands, Tracie continues to generate income for her family while being a stay at home mom to daughter, Sarah.

"...I got so much out of having my deaf mom teach me sign language that it helped me tremendously when I went to grade school. I was very lucky to reap the benefits of having such intensive knowledge ASL. From a very young age, people have always asked me to teach them how to sign and now I am finally able to oblige!"

Tracie currently teaches regularly at Oldfields School for high school students. Oldfields is an all girl boarding school and has chosen to offer their students American Sign Language as a foreign language. Tracie has two classes, ASL I and ASL II. You can check her out on the Oldfields website.
